Ted Neward shows how the J# implementation of Serializable is compatible with the jdk 1.1 implementation. It’s not compatible with 1.3 or 1.4, but that migh come at a later time. Cool.

The New York Times editors has published a piece describing some of their failures when reporting from Iraq.
I can’t say I’m shocked some of the information was wrong, but I really respect them for looking back, admitting and learning from their mistakes.

Because we’re running on a virtual machine the loads could get quite high because other VMs on the same physical host was using too much resources. I’ve just switched to WordPress, and from my stats I can see a lot of sites still checking my old RSS feed. So I set up Apache with a rewrite rule to redirect to my new RSS feed. Works like a charm. No rocket science, but you might find it useful:
