Published by Anders under Java

Java.net has an article on Tomcat and LDAP setup here. Nice and simple setup that’ll work in many situations, but I sometimes find that you need more than simply roles.

CSS Framework

Published by Anders under Development

I’ll certainly be basing my next site layout on this CSS framework. I’m still learning CSS, and a source like this could help me get to the next level.

Spille on the dark side

Published by Anders under Java

It’s been a while since he posted this, but Mike Spille is taking a stroll on The Dark Side, he’s doing an app in .NET! He has good reasons for doing this: doing a realtime Java app is one thing, but this app he is making also needs some low level monitoring and [...]

Franz Bouma discovered that Microsoft has patented ORMapping . I gave up trying to read all the patent mumbo jumbo, but it sure looks like a patent on OR-Mapping. I’m a bit confused actually to wether it’s just an application, or wether it has been approved.
But anyway, is there no decency? I mean, sure, [...]

IBM embraces corporate blogging

Published by Anders under Web

IBM is embracing blogging. Some info and their blogging guidelines is here. It’s quite major when a large company like IBM encourages blogging. I think many companies would not do this because they fear what their employees would publish. Through this IBM shows a great deal of trust in their employees, as well as embracing [...]
