K700 as a remote for any software
While I’m surfing the SE K700 stuff I found this. The K700 supports the HID profile for bluetooth which enables it to receive remote control info for just about any software you wish to control. Maybe it will extend to TVs and VCRs too?

The SonyEricsson K700 is available through their dev shop here. You need to be a core or core+ member to shop it (which is kind of an investment in itself).
