Web clients and the Ajax approach

Found some interesting thoughts on Aslak Hellesøy’s blog about webclients and interaction design. He links to something they call Ajax which is pretty much dynamic pages managed by javascript all the way through the application. Google are doing a good job at it right now with their new applications, and the UI would be really slick. I would’nt want the nightmare of coding all the different browser compatible script though. If I’m ever goind to use something like this I will have to find a javascript library that was maintained and let med avoid all the problems with browser version and types.

Music Rights Insanity

I’m using Yahoo! Launch at work to have something good to listen too, and really like the service. Without paying about 4 bucks a month you don’t get very good sound quality though, and I’d happily pay it to enable the extra features and better quality. I really WANT to pay these bucks. Seriously. But they don’t let me!

Every time I click the link to buy LaunchCast Plus it tells me they don’t deliver this service in my area. I don’t know but I’m guessing it’s because of the music rights. The music industry seems to be completely anal about agreements beeing made for each country separately. I’m guessing this is why music stores like Apple iTunes is only launched in some countries.

To top it off, Launch keeps feeding med adverts for buying LaunchCast Plus. Yes, please. I will, if you let me!
