It seems Kodak and SUN has reached a settlement. I’m wondering what will be next. Will they go after the .NET runtime? This is just a hughe wake up call to fight software patents.

Keeep QA away from your unit tests
Tom Ball writes about unit tests and their role in development. Sometimes QA and test managers will try to interfere with your unit tests just because they are called tests. Ball writes about having them as safety nets and using them for exactlu what they should be.
There is a forum over at java.net which is moderated by Denis Mikhalkin which is working on the next Mustang release of Java. They will use the threads as input to what to prioritise for the next version.
